Who we are

Obsidian Ridge Contractors is a licensed and insured general contracting business operating under Idaho contractor license 2181000, serving Nampa, Meridian, Boise, and the surrounding Treasure Valley. We are the party responsible for the information described in this policy.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. When you submit the project inquiry form, we collect:

• Your name or business name
• Your email address
• Your phone number, if you provide one
• The project type you select
• The project description you write

Our hosting provider also records standard server logs for every request to this site, including IP address, browser user agent, and the pages requested. These logs are used for security and reliability, not for building a profile of you.

Why we collect it

We use the information from your inquiry for one purpose: to respond to you about the work you asked about, and to schedule, quote, and carry out that work if you hire us. We do not sell your information, we do not rent it, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We will not add you to a marketing mailing list from a project inquiry alone. If we introduce a newsletter or subscription plan updates in the future, that will be a separate, clearly labeled opt-in.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run this website and deliver your inquiry to us. They process your information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:

• Vercel hosts this website and keeps the server logs described above.
• Resend delivers your inquiry to our email inbox. The contents of the form pass through their email delivery service.
• Cloudflare Turnstile checks that form submissions come from a person rather than an automated script. It may set a functional cookie or read basic browser signals to make that determination.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to, such as in response to a valid legal request, or where necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party tracking pixels. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising retargeting, or social media tracking scripts. The only cookie the site may set is the functional Cloudflare Turnstile cookie used for spam protection on the contact form.

How long we keep it

Project inquiries arrive as email and are retained in our business records for as long as we may reasonably need them for the project, for follow-up work, and to meet tax, warranty, and contractual recordkeeping obligations. Server logs are retained on a short rolling basis by our hosting provider.

How we protect it

This site is served over HTTPS, and inquiries are transmitted to us over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we limit access to inquiry information to the people at Obsidian Ridge who need it to do the work.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email projects@obsidianridge.com or call 208-244-0811 and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you asked us to stop contacting you, we will keep the minimum record needed to honor that request.

Children

This site is intended for property owners and business operators. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
